I've always admired how utilitarian farm buildings blend so well with the landscape. Here is great example near The Dalles. It is a graceful unpretentious architecture. We always try to infuse our new buildings with a sense of quiet grace. It is a delightful challenge of designing a new structure in the landscape. The designers of the Columbia Gorge Hotel managed to pull it off on a large building. It has a quiet grace combined with a dash of splendor.
